One supplier, from material to finished product

Lamination is judged by hand, not on a screen. We designed a site that gets a technical buyer close enough to decide, including a bonded bra they can turn around and inspect from any angle.

The client

Hamprigo Industries has laminated fabric in Mumbai since 1989. They bond woven, non-woven and knitted fabrics and Rexine to PU foam, EVA foam and films across four lamination techniques, at densities, thicknesses, colours and widths specified per order, on machinery that runs wider than standard requirements. They also manufacture seamless bonded bras from material they laminate themselves, using hotmelt PUR dispensing, silicone printing and tape bonding. Most of their competition does one or the other. Hamprigo does both, and controls the material the garment is made from, which became the organising idea for the site we designed and built for these textile lamination & seamless bonded bra manufacturers, giving equal standing to their work as fabric lamination manufacturers: PU Foam, Fabric, Film & EVA Foam and as seamless bonded bra manufacturers.

The challenge

Hamprigo sell something a website cannot show. Lamination is judged by hand: how the layers sit, whether an edge separates under stress, how the bond behaves after repeated washing. A sourcing manager settles that by holding the material, and until they do, they are reading a screen and discounting every adjective on it. What we were given was raw: photographs of their material and premises, and their own written descriptions of each lamination technique. Everything else, the structure, the design, the sequence a visitor moves through and the interactive elements that carry the technical argument, was ours to decide.

In summary

The site does what Hamprigo does: it starts with the material and works forward to the finished product. Four lamination techniques, each shown against what it is used to build. A garment a buyer can turn around and inspect from any angle. Specification stated openly instead of reserved for a sales call. For a manufacturer whose real advantage is controlling the material the garment is made from, that advantage now sits on the page where a sourcing manager sees it in the first thirty seconds.
